Disposable eye speculum of model BIO-1 is developed by Bio Medical Device Co.,Ltd, it comprises an elongated curved arm formed from an elastic single piece element. The elongated curved arm terminates in integrally formed spoons, each spoon being configured to engage an eyelid. BIO-1 disposable eye speculum relates generally to eye examination or surgery devices and more specifically used to hold a patient's eyelids open. The method for opening a patient's eye comprises of the steps of positioning the eyelid speculum proximate to the patient's eye, engaging each of the upper and lower eyelids of the patient's eye with each of the spoons of the eyelid speculum.
